Meet the Doctors

I was once asked, do you like dentistry or do you love dentistry? I said, ''What's the difference?' They said, 'You can like your wife, but not love her, or you can love your wife and not really like her.' Luckily I both like and love dentistry and my wife of eighteen years. I'm a local with sand in my shoes growing up in Margate. My father is an MD and that instilled in me the thought I would be too. I also loved working with my hands, building models, fixing things, and painting. One day I woke up and realized if you combine medicine and working with your hands you get dentistry and I've never even thought of another career since. I attended Drexel University, then Temple University. Since graduating from the number one ranked University of Maryland in 1992 with a D.D.S. degree, I've loved providing patients with the best and most advanced dental care available.

Without any hesitation, I would go into dentistry again. There is nothing better than having a career that is fulfilling on so many different levels. Being able to give relief to someone in pain is incredibly satisfying or to take a broken front tooth and make it whole again. I was honored to receive a Top Doc award in 2009, 2013, and 2014. I've been in the Who's Who book several times. I am and have been affiliated with multiple dental organizations. But the best award I keep receiving is when a patient refers someone they know or love to see me. Continuing education is probably the most important part of my ongoing education. My staff and I are always learning better ways to care for our patients and strive to provide 1' class customer care. I'm always searching for better methods, materials, and easier delivery of dentistry. Come for a unique visit, that I pledge will be the best dental experience you've ever had.

I’m delighted to have been invited to be the newest member of the Hamilton Family Dental staff. I welcome the opportunity to share 30 years of clinical experience and expertise with you, the patient community.

From the moment I stepped into the clinic I was amazed at the friendliness, compassion, and dedication of the people here. Dr. Podolnick and his talented staff have exemplary clinical skills and provide high-quality care, all in a very clean, safe, and state-of-the-art facility. I come to you from the shorefront community of South Amboy where I was in private practice for 35 years. I received my dental degree from the Fairleigh S. Dickinson College of Dental Medicine after which I completed a general practice residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. My education before dental school included attendance at Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, NJ, and Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. I consider myself a progressive practitioner and forever the student I actively participate in continuing education, particularly with the Jersey Shore University Medical Center Dental Education continuum associated with Hackensack Meridian Health and the University of Pennsylvania.

I love the water. You may find me swimming, paddling, surfing, or walking my dog on a beach somewhere. I love and am married to Susan and together we find our greatest joy in being parents and grandparents to extraordinary people. I love all sports and my hobbies include food, travel, pop art, comics, movies, music, golf, nature-walking skiing, landscaping, skywatching, reading, and learning new things.

It is a unique responsibility to serve you by providing the best dental care I can deliver. It is a unique privilege to be this relevant part of people’s lives. Sharing my dedication to the pursuit of optimal oral health with every patient is my passion. A healthy mouth is essential to a person’s overall quality of life.

I don’t HAVE to practice dentistry every day. But it’s a gift to GET to be a dentist every day. And that makes me happy. I look forward to meeting you.

Dr. Eric comes to us from New York and comes from a family of dentists, making his passion for dentistry a lifelong journey. He earned his dental degree from Temple University in Philadelphia in 2021. Outside of work, Dr. Eric enjoys golfing, listening to audiobooks, and practicing yoga. He is also a proud husband and father to a wonderful daughter. We're excited to have him on board and look forward to working together.
